Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. If you skip it, there is the likelihood of you crashing later in the day; also, it increases your susceptibility to binging on unhealthy foods.
Having coffee or tea in the morning can help give your body a rev to the day. Immediately after your workout (30 -40 min) is the opportune time to replenish your carbohydrates, protein and fats. Again portioned controlled serving sizes are the key to controlling body weight. The amount of energy you need to function throughout the day and also the amount necessary to exercise can be a balancing act. But with pre-planning you can set up a eating routine that will help keep you on track to success by choosing the right foods even when eating out.
While protein is important, some people tend to skip carbohydrates, not just in the morning, but on a regular basis. The body needs carbohydrates, because they are the only food stuff that can cross the blood brain barrier. It's the only fuel that can get your groggy mind alert and functional at 6:00 am in the morning! So eat up in the morning. (Healthily!) You'll have a better workout, a better attitude, and a better body. Who could ask for more?
