From time to time you'll hear people saying what supplements they do or don't take. It seems people have a laundry list of supplements that they take daily or occasionally. That's all fine and dandy but in reality there are common everyday supplements that we should be taking everyday to get the most bang for our health care buck.

E- Complex
Calcium
Potassium
Vitamin D
The above listed nutrients are recognized as some of the most common in our diet. Citrus fruits, Whole grains, Colored vegetables all provide some or all of the above items in red. But to get the RDA (recommended daily allowance) of nutrients one may have to consume a lot of food stuffs to get the minimum RDA.
It is recommended that taking pharmaceutical grade supplements can fill the void and ensure that your getting the min to max of RDA necessary for your body to function. Some of us need more of a particular RDA for a food or its components. It depends upon symptoms and blood chemistry that determines what you need to be consuming for maximum benefit.
If you need to supplements, then take ones that are powered or capsule based. Products that claim to be "time-released" or are in pill or tablet form may not be assimilated adequately in the digestive system. Thereby you end up excreting those products before their completely absorbed by the small intestine.
Powders and gel capsules are absorbed better than the above. Why? Because their already in a predigested form. Powders mix well with fluid. Drink and the small intestine sucks it up like a straw. Pow!! Bio-available vitamins. Gel capsules are found most with "essential fatty oils". Their outer shell is vegetable based and those digestive enzymes that break down vegetable proteins help facilitate absorption of essential fatty oils into our diet.
