Recharging your batteries and the relief it brings.

8/15/12

Recently we went camping at Bear Lake in Plumas National Forest. It's about 4 hours from here outside of a town called Oroville. Maybe an hour or so from Sacramento.

It was the second time we were there and we had a nice time. It's on these breaks when your with your loved ones and friends that you can slow down and truly enjoy things. Being in the woods and not having to get up early or check email or all the functions that we have to do in our other life is at times a great relief.

Time slows down and your body begins to adjust to the environment. You adapt to time by flowing with the light. I can only imagine how early humans navigated their environment according to the light and dark and being as productive as possible to meet their and their families needs.

Some of my best vacations are when I'm oblivious to time and I'm just flowing. Your body begins to guide you to the right foods and also the proper thoughts to give you the most energy to make your brain work.

I know a vacation to Hawaii is great. But sometimes that is replacing one hustle and bustle for another. Nature provides a window into tranquility and in my opinion is the best way to recharge my batteries to enjoy my LIFE.

Sharing my thoughts,
