We all have days when we don't want to be active. To much work, not enough sleep, stressed out and untold more reasons we find ways to escape working out. So how do you motivate yourself to do something you don't really feel like doing?
Well it's just a sense of priorities. Meaning simply to create flexibility in your schedule to allow you time to make fitness happen. Just as you plan out your work schedule or school schedule make a schedule for your training.
Look folks working out for an hour if your not in to it can be very boring. So make it shorter. Maybe you can do a 20 or 30 min workout i.e 8 minutes of cardio, 5 min of stretching, 7- 17 min of large muscle group training: Squats, chest move ( db chest), upper back move (pull down) 2-3 sets. Workout done.
Currently, I can muster 20 -30 min workouts. I change the parameters when I'm working out so that I have variety in my program. One day instead of the bike I jump rope. One workout will be all abs and back. The key is keeping it simple and being consistent. Don't want to run? Power walk. Can't muster an hour? Do less.
The more flexible you are mentally the more creative you can be physically.
Try it out a few times and I think you'll be surprised at how simple it can be.

Thanks Dr. Abu. Particularly meaningful when one hasn't developed an exercise/fitness regimen or has been inactive over a period of time. Profound weather changes and the upcoming daylight savings time adjustment may also pose motivational challenges for some (like me). All that aside, it helps to get support in refocusing ourselves. Now, to move from thinking about it to doing...!
