Have a Healthy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day from NEXT LEVEL!

How are you going to celebrate with the one you love this weekend? Chocolates, champagne, lavish dinners, and the like are all wonderful indulgences on this special day. Treat yourself, you deserve it...just remember to love your body too! Whether you are spending your holiday with your children, best friends, or partner, it is natural to want to go a little over the top come V-Day. Have you thought of a few other ways to celebrate your relationships though? Exercise is a wonderful way to form a bond with another person. Working out is more than just a calorie-burning hour necessity; you can have fun doing it too! Go for a dance class, a hike through Joaquin Miller Park with your family, get your bodies moving, the conversation flowing, and let the endorphins do their work! Healthy=Happy.  What better way to feel on a day that celebrates happiness and love?

Sharing tasty treats with your loved--or little--ones this weekend? Here are a few ideas for festive (and healthy!) snacks!

-Chocolate dipped fruit: Dip sliced bananas, strawberries, or dried fruit (my favorite is ginger or apricots!) in small (around 1/2- 1tsp per piece) amounts of melted dark chocolate. Antioxidants and Fruit all in one dessert!

-"No-Pudge" Fat-Free Brownies. You can find these at most grocery stores, they come in a pink box and are absolutely delicious! You blend the baking mix with nonfat vanilla yogurt, pop it in the oven for a few minutes, and voila! Low cal brownies that taste so good you'd never know they're healthy! Top with light whipped cream and cinammon.

**Some other V-Day treat nutrition info:
9 pieces of hershey's kisses=230 calories
12 pieces candy hearts= 60 cal
26 pink candy corns=140 cal
Reese's Peanut Butter Heart (snack size)=170 cal
4 oz champagne=90 calories

So there's a little Valentine's Day information (sent with love!) from Next Level.
Enjoy your holiday, folks!
