I wanted to share with you some insights on what to do when you're not at the gym. You have two choices:
1. Nothing.
or
2. Something.
Nothing is as it says. Meaning in essence that you're resting and recovering from another days workout or you're resting before an upcoming training. Either way you look at it the result is the same.
Now with something it can either be a little or a lot. On the little side it can be a walk, jog, stretch, bike, yoga, massage or exercising muscles you don't normally train in your workout. Or it can be walking the stairs, gardening, laundry, cleaning, parking your car far from the entrance. But on the a lot side, that is exercise folks, no holds bar get into it and sweat and make your muscles work.
Both are appropriate things to do but the main factor is how you feel and what it is you've done for your exercise routine for the week. Only then can you determine what is right for you on your off days at the gym.
My advice to you is say you're going to do nothing, only to guilt trip yourself into doing something and then you don't have to worry about how you thought were were not going to nothing but something had to be done.
Makes sense, Huh?
