Thinking Fitness everyday

5/5/10

Exercise doesn't begin and end in the gym. It can be an all day event if you think about it. Here are some examples.

Parking a distance from the store entrance
Walking the stairs instead of the elevator
Walk an extra block or more too your favorite lunch time spot
Packing in a squat, calf raise, wall squat or just bear down and tighten your abs a few times in your day
Flex you biceps and triceps and squeeze them isometrically. They get worked!

Most of all watch your food choices. If your craving "junk" find healthy junk and satisfy your craving!

Fitness is a lifestyle. Make it apart of yours.

Yours in health,

  1. Thanks, Abu, for tips on how to have workouts last longer than the hour at the gym. I've been toying with the idea of ditching the elevator in favor of the stairs at work (my office is on the 8th floor!) and maybe I'll move from "thinking" about it to "doing" it. I'll let you know. Either way, you inspire me to be stronger and healthier.
